Wooden blinds bring texture and calm to a room in a way fabric can't. Tilt the slats and you shape the light without losing the view; lower them fully and you have privacy with a soft glow. We make ours from kiln-dried basswood and hardwood, sealed against Dubai's humidity, in slat widths from 25 mm for small windows to 50 mm for a bold, plantation-style look.

Wooden blinds, answered
25 mm suits small or shallow-recess windows and looks neat and modern. 50 mm gives a bolder, plantation look, a clearer view when open and a smaller stack when raised — our most popular choice. 35 mm sits in between.
Not ours. We use kiln-dried basswood and hardwood with a sealed finish on all faces. For bathrooms and kitchens with heavy steam we recommend faux-wood (PVC) slats in the same colours.
Yes. A Somfy motor in the headrail tilts and lifts the blind from a remote, wall switch or app, and can be grouped with other blinds and curtains. Somfy motors carry a 10-year warranty.
Inside gives the neatest look and needs about 6 cm of depth. Outside covers the whole frame and blocks more light. We advise at the measurement visit.
Close the slats and dust with a microfibre cloth or the brush attachment of a vacuum. Wipe marks with a barely damp cloth; never soak the timber.
